In addition to the regular movement sessions, we offer members in-depth classes within the Crazy Monkey Practice, available as standalone events or weekly classes.
Breath work - event
Breathwork uses intentional breathing to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being. In the Crazy Monkey Practice, it offers a unique opportunity to connect deeply with your body, your emotions, and to explore your interoception in a way that is not accessible in daily life. The studio is transformed, filled with a special energy that creates an experience beyond words. Through guided breathing, you can release tension, increase focus, and create a foundational experience for deeper personal growth. You will leave the session with a new understanding of embodiment and a profound sense of connection.
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu - weekly
Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) is a grappling-based martial art that focuses on controlling an opponent and using techniques like holds and submissions to overcome them, even if they are bigger or stronger. Itâs about strategy, adaptability, and staying calm under pressure, which makes it both a physical and mental challenge. In the Crazy Monkey Practice, we draw on BJJâs principles to explore movement in a creative, open way. Both practices share a focus on being present in your body, adapting to challenges, and finding flow rather than forcing solutions, making BJJ a perfect fit for the Crazy Monkey program.
Non-Violent Communication - weekly
Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is a practice that helps you express yourself clearly and listen to others with empathy, creating understanding and connection instead of conflict. Itâs about identifying feelings and needs, yours and othersâ, and communicating in a way that encourages collaboration and mutual understanding. In the Crazy Monkey Practice, NVC complements physical movement by deepening mental and emotional awareness. It helps you build meaningful relationships. NVC is a way to stay grounded, navigate challenges, and work with others in a constructive way.
